Let it Snow!

It is finally snowing here in Boulder, CO!
I'm pretty excited, Bob doesn't look too
happy though.

Critters!

I give you Critters! Maybe we should make this
a Monday thing.... Here is my first installment of
animal photos; As I work to get tons of excellent photos
of animals up close. I'm able to take very still
photos now because my brother gave me a
tripod/mono pod combo for Christmas!
This little guy let me get really close. I had
to be pretty patient because every time I'd
move close he'd move farther away. The cool
part was when I waited, he came back
to check me out.(Ninja)
Bat Crow.
The number of geese still around is amazing.
Normally this lake would be drained or frozen by now,
but the geese are still able to be quite comfortable
here. Our weather may be weird right now, but a positive
trade-off is that we get to see these migratory animals
around a little longer. Not to mention all the weird
behavior you can witness...
 Like eating ice.
Or walking on it. (Which makes a pretty weird
sound by the way, it reminds me of dolphins underwater.)
And yes that is a seagull!
And right after this is when my battery died.
Calling it a day seemed sensible, definitely
a 2 hours well spent!

The Beauty of Winter

With the coming of Winter also comes the cold.
Which causes us to stay inside and get cozy. The
surprising thing is, that outside there is still
beauty to witness. In the small places and the big,
there is beauty often overlooked.
High up jet stream peppered with god rays.
A great serpentine stream picture.
A squirrel at the end of the day.
Ice that was broken, frozen again.
The small places.
The Big.
And the unexpected.

Merry Christmas!

Here is a picture of my new sword! It as given to me by my martial arts
teachers so it means a lot. This is a picture of it at Christmas Eve sunset.
I was amazed how fast I began to identify with it, and how naturally it
found a place in my room.
Gifts really mean a lot this time of year. I can't wait to give the ones
I care for gifts tomorrow!
